So there's blogs about traveling and blogs about being black, but now there's a blog about traveling while black!

Yeah, not that surprising, there are blogs about everything now. Anyway, when the Black Traveler reviews Roscoe's House of Chicken and Waffles there was an interesting line that they dropped in the article: "The waiter took a little longer than expected. He actually skipped us and took another table’s order before ours. It could have been a race thing, but we didn’t let it bother us." I really hope that line was sarcastic as Roscoe's is a soul food place with a mostly African American staff (and a pretty slammin' website . . . slammin'). And yes, I am basing this off of two short videos of the place involving Snoop Dogg, David Beckham, and Larry King.

Blogging Psuedonyms

So I normally don't like to post to other blogs. Unless those blogs are particularly unheard of or just wicked cool. Yes, wicked cool. But, here a well known political blog that's name ends in the feminine "ette" suffix, yet they are amazed when people refer to it with a feminine pronoun, describes the dangers of using blogging pseudonyms and how they just might not work as well as you'd think they would.

Moral of the story? You other fools better come up with a plan B in case someone finds out who you are. It's a good thing I really am the Scarlet Pimpernel!

Here's an awesome blog I stumbled upon while reading up on Giant Jellyfish ... Pink Tentacle! I couldn't find an about page so don't really know what's up with it, but it's just a Japanese-centric blog of cool and weird stuff. The link above goes straight to all tags labeled "Anamoly" which is where all the good stuff is ... entries include "Monster Mummies of Japan", "Monster octopi with scores of extra tentacles" and "Edo-period UFO" ... good pictures too!

Some web device that analyzes what kind of person or people write a blog. I have no idea what the criteria is or what they actually look at while "Typealyzing" a blog.
So naturally I tossed the ol' Bluntest into the wood chipper to see what would come out ...

ESFP - The Performers

The entertaining and friendly type. They are especially attuned to pleasure and beauty and like to fill their surroundings with soft fabrics, bright colors and sweet smells. They live in the present moment and don´t like to plan ahead - they are always in risk of exhausting themselves.

A brain chart analysis (swear to god) of Bluntest contributors shows predominance in the "Sensing" section of the brain while writing. And while there was spillover into the "Practical" and "Feeler" areas, the "Thinking" area of the brain was untouched. Huzah! Naturally I'm writing this while baking cookies and wearing silk pajamas within an egg shaped pod painted neon green.

I think I posted awhile ago about fivethirtyeight.com, a website monitoring the election and breaking down polls and what-not by using ridiculous math to give the chances of how things might've turned out? Well, the guy who runs that site, Nate Silver, is a Chicagoan from Wicker Park who also rates local taquerias! Is there anything this cat can't do?
