While checking out Driznastic's last post I noticed a cake for Hourglass and the Poisoned Pen. What the hell is that?

Hourglass is Chicago's very own "superhero tap dance opera"! Awesome! . . .kind of. I don't know if you can call something an opera if it's "told without spoken dialogue, but with narrative paragraphs flashed on a screen and giant scenery boards turned like pages of an oversize comic." Anyway, go check out some Chicago tap in hopes we can get a bit more of this sweet sweet superhero tap dance opera. Because, hey, it was a sequel so lets see if it can get enough steam to complete the trilogy!

International Tuba Day

May 1st is International Tuba Day. What is ITD? Well: "Joel Day founded International Tuba Day in 1979 while attending Lower Merion High School in suburban Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being one of only two tuba players in the band and finding a lack of respect from his fellow classmates, he decided to set a day aside for our recognition as reputable musicians." Yup, a band nerd who couldn't get respect of even the other band nerds decided to make up a holiday in a vain attempt to achieve the respect of the nerd collective known as high school band. (Nerd Collective, totally going to be the name of my new Indie band!)

So why do I care about ITD? Because you can register your own ITD event! Totally going to have a Bluntest ITD Celebration. It's going to be awesome. Hopefully we can score some sweet shirts

So I was poking around CNN today, just reading some articles, when I noticed that Kelly Osbourne going to a medical facility was the number 9 story of the most read stories on CNN.com. The article isn't that really interesting, except for one little nugget: "She's been absent in recent weeks from a British radio talk show in which she dispenses life advice to young people." She has a radio talk show where she gives people life advice? Really? And apparently the show is called the Surgery. Don't know what that's all about. And here's an interesting bio of both people who host the show. I'd give you the funny parts to both bios, but the entire things are funny.
