So if you've been watching TV recently or not watching TV cause there really isn't anything good on anymore, you've probably noticed that the writers are on strike. I don't watch much TV to start with and when I do it's typically reruns of "Law and Order" or C-SPAN (which has a killer website, by the by), or porn. On a whole, things not depending on writers. Or do they?
So I was watching the Daily Show this morning and then the Colbert Report. I like the shows, but it seems like they've taken a bit of a hit from the WGA strike. So I went to check out the news to see how bad their struggles are ratings-wise. Apparently they're doing fine, maybe better.
So the original plan for this post was for me to find an article about how the shows are doing poorly, then finding an article written by a conservative pundit about how the liberal unions are destroying those liberal bastions of mock news shows. I still wouldn't be surprised if there'll be an article written to that effect, even if the facts don't support it.
If you're looking for something to do tonight, STS-9 with Rahzel at the Congress Theater. Nothing like electronic jam music with beat box.
Stay warm Chicago!
